| ITC to Investigate Apple for Patent Infringment, Motorola Looks to Ban iPhones, iPads Posted: 19 Sep 2012 08:16 PM PDT  Google’s Motorola isn’t looking to ban just Apple’s mobile division though, as they claim iMessage is too, an offender, allowing Moto to also go after the*Mac Pro, iMac, Mac mini, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air. Moto’s end goal is to eventually ban the import of all of these devices. If a case like this was won, it would mean a huge loss for Apple and we’re guessing there would be some serious payout and software revisions needing to be made that would make Samsung’s loss to Apple peanuts in comparison. If this one goes to court and the ITC finds that Motorola/Google has a case, we’ll be following this one very closely. Via: Arstechnica Cheers Raven! |

| Tip: Single-handed Zooming With Google Maps 6.12 Posted: 19 Sep 2012 08:16 PM PDT Google just published the 6.12 update for Google Maps that includes better syncing of places and directions between PC and phone, but that isn’t all that came with the update. They also introduced a new way to zoom without using two fingers or two hands. It’s called single-handed zooming and is accomplished by tapping once and then holding your finger to the screen on the second tap. Once you have held on the second tap, you can slide your finger up or down to zoom in and out. Neat. |

I own both the Bionic and RAZR versions and have found them to be completely unusable for long periods of time. The idea may have been good on paper, but the execution, like many Motorola products over the last couple of years, was terrible. But again, if for some reason you can’t move on in life without having owned a Lapdock, today is your day. Buy. Cheers to everyone who sent this! |

Being a classy man whom we’ve had the*privilege*to stand next to and share a beer with at Google I/O, replied to the comment on his page, stating that there is always more work to be done and he’s only one third of where he would like to be with Android as a whole.* It’s true, we still have a lot of work to do. Personally I feel like I’ve gotten only about a third of the way to where I want to be with regards to consistency, responsiveness, and polish. You couldn’t ask for much more than that. Jelly Bean has ushered in a new era of smoothness and responsiveness that early Android users may not have thought was possible.
